For 3 years, 12 days, (or so), My wife Christina (Chris) and I lived and worked in Rome. This move across the pond was based on my map and website businesses, and the outright lust we both share for the charms of Italy, and especially Rome.
dot
dot We were fortunate to find a house in Trestevere, an ancient neighborhood known for its international collection of residents, restaurants, shops, and college students. And yes, I said college students, as two institutes of higher learning are located here, namely John Cabot University and American University.
dot
dot Situated on a very typical narrow, cobblestone street, the house itself was actually part of a monastery built in the 16th century. It's somewhat small in size (125 sq meters) compared to American suburbia standards, but what it lacks in size it certainly makes up for in ambiance and location.
dot
dot It's on four levels and highlights include a master bedroom on the 4th level, three full bathrooms (with showers), a very functional kitchen, a large terrace on the third level, a comfortable guest bedroom and office on the second level. It also includes a garage, one of most coveted spaces in the entire country.
dot
dot To learn more about our journey, and the trials and tribulations of daily life in Italy, you should read some prior issues of Chris' Daily Journal
dot
dot Note: There will be no more updates to this site, as we moved from Rome to Amelia Island, Florida in 2008, and have been traveling across the planet ever since. However, if you haven't been to Rome, you might enjoy our pictures and some of the details of our journey.

The red dot shows where we lived, and as you can see, we were close to everything!
